Menu Sorter

Windows 95 / 98 / ME Windows NT 3.1 / NT 4 / 2000 / XP |
Menu Sorter is for those of you who would like to keep your Start Menu and Favourites Menu, in alphabetical order, without having to go through the process of manually sorting every menu and sub-menu individually, by yourself. Using Menu Sorter you can make sure the Menus are automatically sorted, into alphabetical order, every time Windows is restarted! Or if you prefer, you can sort the Menus at the click of a button! Therefore, which ever method you choose, all the hard work is done for you!
Anyway, you should find that Menu Sorter looks something like the screenshot below...
As you can see, there really is not that much to this program and as such it is very easy to use and understand. However, what is not visible in the screenshot, is that if Menu Sorter is set to automatically run on windows start-up, you would not actually see any signs of the program running, other than your Menus being in alphabetical order. This is because when Menu Sorter runs on windows start-up, it runs in the background and once it has finished sorting the Menus, it automatically closes.
To get Menu Sorter to automatically sort the Start Menu and Favourites Menu, in to alphabetical order, every time Windows is restarted, all you need to do is simply tick the box marked 'Automatically Run On Windows Start-Up'. As you can see, there are also another two buttons that you can click on when using Menu Sorter. There is the 'Close' button, which closes Menu Sorter, and there is the 'Sort Menus' button, which sorts the Start Menu and Favourites Menu, whilst Windows is still running. However, in the newer versions of Windows, the manual sorting approach sometimes requires a restart, before the changes will take effect.
If for some reason you decide that you no longer want to use this program, please make sure that the 'Automatically Run On Windows Start-Up' option is not selected, before you delete the program from your PC, to avoid any error messages.
